In the last few days A lady stopped off at Spanish homes to talk to a friend so her husband decided to walk down to the Consum Supermarket. After leaving Spanish homes the lady got in the car and noticed that another car had pulled in behind her and stopped, She drove down to outside Consum waiting for her husband to come out and as normal had the door locks on. Within seconds of pulling up, the same car pulled up behind her and bibbed their hooter, when she looked around she noticed that there were two males in the car aged approx 23-25, Spanish in appearance, well dressed, shaved, and short hair. She wound down her window and the passenger asked for directions to Alicante. She pointed in the direction that they were travelling and it was obvious that they wanted her to get out of the car, She disappointed them, At this time she was aware that another male of similar description was now walking in front of her car (and trying not to be noticed. Unfortunately they sped away before she had time to get their number. 6 May 2009 We have received another report of a distraction theft at the car parking area before the adult school just before the roundabout in Arboleas, in the Almanzora valley. It happened yesterday (Wednesday 6th May) afternoon when a small silver car pulled up beside a woman and started to sound his horn at her and waving a map. She got out to see if she could help and later discovered her purse to be missing. These thefts continue to occur please be aware and secure your valuables at all times in the car. Don't get involved in conversations with strangers unless there are at least two of you. 17th April 2009 A further distraction theft has occurred locally in La Alfoquia. Whilst parking the car the woman was approached by a smart young man who spoke in English and Spanish. The next minute the handbag was taken by an accomplice.
